Mark, Lisa, and Andrew Langford’s 2019 camping trip ended in heartbreak when their bodies were found beneath an overturned tent in Colorado’s Black Canyon. The horrific scene, discovered just 50 yards from a cliff, showed they were killed on the first night, restrained and struck with blunt force.
Their getaway vehicle still held packed, unused gear while items like backpacks and a first aid kit were missing. Fingerprints and DNA traces pointed investigators toward someone else’s presence. Greg Hansen, a guide with a criminal record, appeared linked to the crime scene but vanished before authorities could question him.
Though FBI agents joined the search and evidence painstakingly collected, Hansen’s whereabouts remain unknown. Meanwhile, the family’s tragic story serves as a haunting reminder of the perils nature can sometimes hide behind its beauty.
