Melania Trump shared the news of her pregnancy with Donald shortly after their 2005 wedding. Though happy, Donald was initially taken aback by how quickly the news came.
“He came home and I told him, and his first reaction was shock. Then he was very happy,” Melania told reporters.
Donald Trump said he was aware children were on their horizon but admits the speed of conception caught him off guard. Barron Trump was born in March 2006, adding to Donald’s existing four children.
Choosing Barron’s name became a family affair, with Donald originally reluctant, but Melania’s persistence prevailed.
Barron has grown up mostly shielded from the spotlight but remains a prominent figure in his father’s extensive family.
