Tyler Robinson, suspected of shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk, sent a series of disturbing messages to friends after the assassination that have now been made public. The incident took place on September 10 at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was fatally wounded.
Authorities tracked down Robinson following a widespread search. His father persuaded him to turn himself in to avoid harsher penalties. Robinson’s communications with close associates indicate plans involving the rifle used in the killing, including discussions about storing and retrieving it from secret locations.
Some initial confusion about messages on Discord clarified that a roommate referenced notes Robinson left behind. Robinson also joked about being confused with a “doppelganger” on social media and dismissed markings on the ammunition as made-up stories.

He is currently held without bail, facing multiple charges including aggravated murder and firearm offenses. The suspect was reportedly in a relationship with his roommate who is undergoing gender transition. Robinson is refusing to cooperate with investigators as the case proceeds.
These messages shed light on Robinson’s mindset and actions after the shooting, adding layers to an already complex and tragic investigation.
