A Minnesota woman was arrested on August 30 after stealing power tools. So why is that something special? Her mugshot quickly went viral because she is the spitting image of Jennifer Lopez.
The offense was committed on August 30. 35-year-old Cyrena Anne Quast was arrested after stealing two double packs of power tool batteries. They cost around $580, which the woman stole from a store in Monticello, Minnesota, records state, according to the NY Post.
A store employee had reportedly recognized the woman from an alleged theft two days earlier and called the cops. However, the offense itself was nothing unusual. Instead, Cyrena’s mugshot, which went viral on social media, was.
The woman bears an incredible resemblance to world-star artist Jennifer Lopez. Her mugshot and resemblance to J-Lo were posted on social media, and it didn’t take long to spread.
The comparison soon led to plenty of jokes, with some users turning Lopez’s famous songs into punchlines. Before long, Quast’s resemblance to the singer had become one of the biggest talking points surrounding her arrest.
“For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao,” one user wrote.
“There’s a glitch in the matrix lol,” another added.

“Omg. Get a DNA test. There’s no way that’s NOT JLo. For real. If it’s NOT…and I was Hollywood or anywhere else I would totally rent her at a discounted JLo rate for sure;” a third wrote.
A fourth added, “She should be charged twice for not being smart enough to use her likeness raking in money being a Lopez impersonator or a stand-in.” The similarity is insane.”
Other social media users decided to spin the lyrics of Jennifer Lopez’ iconic song Jenny from the Block, released in 2002.
“In prison she’s known as Jenny from D-Block!,” one stated, while another added, “Jenny been walking the block too much.”
“She’s definitely still Jenny from the block,” a third joked.
Not the first run-in with police
Per the Daily Mail, Quast was released the day after her arrest on August 30. However, the August 30 arrest was sadly not Quast’s first run-in with police.
Records show she has previously been arrested over allegations including drug possession, driving while intoxicated, fleeing from police, and giving false identification, as well as several traffic offenses.
