Ike Turner Jr., the son of Tina Turner and Ike Turner, has died at age 67 due to kidney failure, his family has confirmed. His health had been declining for years, complicated by heart problems and a stroke suffered shortly before his death.
Ike Jr. was born in 1958 and was adopted by Tina Turner during her marriage to Ike Turner Sr. A gifted musician himself, he initially played drums but later switched to keyboards at his mother’s encouragement. He also worked as a sound engineer and was closely involved with the family’s recording studio.
His talents earned him a Grammy Award alongside his father for the album “Risin’ With The Blues.” Though his later life was marked by personal difficulties, Ike Jr.’s musical legacy lives on through his work and family.
