Justin Fuller, a veteran skydiving instructor aged 35, died after falling from his plane during a tandem jump gone wrong. Police reported that Fuller was somehow separated from both his student and the parachute, while the student survived after being rescued from a tree.

Firefighters reached the stranded student using ladders and pulleys. Despite being suspended for hours, the student was in stable condition and conscious after the rescue. Police confirmed the instructor’s body was found in a clearing near Ashland City Highway.

Go Skydive Nashville expressed condolences and confirmed their full cooperation with the ongoing investigation, which is being overseen by the FAA.
