Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have each have long and successful Hollywood careers. But perhaps more importantly, they have raised two children. Their youngst, Carys Douglas just celebrated her 23rd birthday. And a new photo of her has fans going crazy.
Born on April 20, 2003, Carys is the youngest child of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. She has one onlder brother, Dylan Douglas, and a half-brother, Cameron Douglas, she was introduced to fame from the very beginning.
Her father, Michael Douglas was 58 when she was born. But now, the “birthday girl” is no longer just known as the daughter of two global icons. She’s carving out a path all her own.
Growing up in the shadow of Hollywood royalty isn’t easy. However, Carys appears to be determined to build an identity defined by talent, ambition, and her own star power.
In 2025, she reached a major milestone, graduating from Brown University with a degree in Film and International Relations — a moment her proud parents didn’t hesitate to celebrate publicly.
“I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she told People Magazine last year.

“I feel I love vintage clothes. I don’t really like to buy, I’m not really into fast fashion stuff, just for sustainability reasons, so I feel very lucky that I have a wonderful closet that I can pick from, but I should probably tell her more, because I snag a little too much. She’s like, ‘Is that my bag?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t think so,’ ” she says.
Her career is already gaining momentum. On November 9, 2025, a trailer featuring Carys alongside Victoria Pedretti, Micheal Neeson, and Dagmara Dominczyk was released, marking a significant step into the film industry. A later Instagram screening only fueled the buzz around her rising presence.
Still, there is more. Carys Douglas has also shown a more artistic side. On her Instagram page sharing clips of herself singing and playing the piano, proving her creativity extends far beyond the screen.
In a birthday post, shared by Michael Douglas on social media, Carys wore a black dress which previously had been worn by her mother at the 20th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
