How to Get Rid of Hard Water Rings in Your Toilet Using Vinegar

Toilet cleaning is a chore nobody loves, especially when hard water stains appear. These mineral rings are tough to remove, but there’s an easy and natural way to tackle them using distilled vinegar.

First, reduce the water level in the toilet bowl by plunging to push water down. This exposes more of the stained surface so the vinegar can work better. Pour plenty of distilled vinegar into the bowl, focusing on the stained spots.

Then, soak paper towels in vinegar and stick them under the rim and on the inner edges where stains often build up. Press them in place and let them sit overnight. The vinegar will break down the mineral deposits while you sleep.

The next day, remove the towels and scrub the bowl with a toilet brush. The stains should come off more easily. Flush to rinse. If stains remain, repeat the process.

This vinegar method is safe for your toilet and plumbing and avoids harsh chemicals. It’s an affordable, eco-friendly way to keep your toilet clean.
