A beloved Disneyland ride became the setting for tragedy when a female guest in her 60s suffered a medical emergency on the Haunted Mansion ride on October 6. Following the ride, she was found unresponsive and rushed to hospital, where she was later declared dead.
The Anaheim Police Department reported that there were no signs of any ride malfunction. Security staff at the park performed CPR until paramedics arrived. The ride, popular for its ghostly ambiance and gentle pace, has been a staple since Disneyland’s early days.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner, with no further details released out of respect for the family.
