In Austin-Travis County, Texas, a school bus carrying 42 students and its driver crashed and rolled over after veering off a rural road. The accident happened just after the school day ended, before any students were dropped off.
Emergency medical responders transported 10 people to hospitals, including nine students, with some injuries described as serious. All are now reported stable.
The bus belonged to the Leander ISD, was driven by an experienced operator, and came equipped with required seat belts. Officials continue their investigation to determine why the bus left the road.
