Six Generations of One Family Gather Around 98-Year-Old Matriarch

A touching photo recently circulated showing MaeDell Taylor Hawkins surrounded by five generations of female relatives, marking a rare and special moment in her life. At 98, MaeDell got to hold her first great-great-great-grandchild, baby Zhavia, in February.

The snapshot includes MaeDell’s daughter Frances Snow, her granddaughter Gracie Snow Howell, great-granddaughter Jacqueline Ledford, and great-great-granddaughter Jaisline Wilson. The image symbolizes a powerful family tradition and the love passed down through decades.

MaeDell’s journey began when she married Bill Taylor at age 16, blending families and raising thirteen children in basic living conditions. Though the family lacked conveniences like running water and laundry machines, MaeDell’s endless support created a nurturing home for a growing family who now number over 600 grandchildren and beyond.

Plans are underway to reunite again in June for another family portrait as they continue celebrating their extraordinary heritage, proving the incredible strength of family ties.
