Sophia Hutchins, the close friend and manager of Caitlyn Jenner, tragically died at 29 in an ATV accident near Jenner’s Malibu home. Reports say her vehicle collided with the back of a car, causing her to fall 350 feet down a ravine. Emergency responders declared her dead at the scene, while the other car’s passengers were unharmed.
Hutchins and Jenner met in 2015 during Jenner’s gender transition and quickly became close. Hutchins, who appeared on I Am Cait, was also transgender. Jenner has described Hutchins as her “best friend, family and confidant,” praising her entrepreneurial spirit and important role in her life.
A Pepperdine University graduate, Hutchins was the CEO of LUMASOL, a company focused on health and technology. She also served as CEO of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, which promotes LGBTQ+ equality by funding programs that support transgender people in areas like healthcare, housing, employment, and suicide prevention.
