Barron Trump Poised for Major Role at TikTok

Youngest Trump son Barron could soon hold a leading position at TikTok, the popular app whose US operations are transitioning to American ownership. Barron, 19, has been proposed for a role on TikTok’s board by Jack Advent, a former social media strategist credited with playing a key role in Donald Trump’s 2024 victory.

Barron has already amassed a fortune from cryptocurrency investments and studies business at NYU. His input helped his father connect with a younger audience during the campaign, including advising on visits to podcasts and influencer events popular with Gen Z.

President Trump’s administration succeeded in protecting TikTok from an outright ban in the US by requiring majority American ownership. In this evolving environment, Barron’s potential appointment to TikTok’s board would represent a strong vote for keeping the app relevant to younger users.
