Janelle Scott’s life changed forever on a September night when she was attacked by two pitbulls in Oklahoma. The dogs belonged to a friend and were in a trailer that had reportedly been broken into earlier. Scott was cycling toward the friend’s home when the incident occurred.
Emergency responders found her with severe injuries and transported her for emergency surgery. Damage was so severe her right arm and left leg were amputated initially, but further surgery resulted in the loss of her remaining limbs.

Scott’s mother Cheryl has spoken candidly about the heartbreak and strength involved in supporting her daughter. Community members have rallied around the family, with a GoFundMe page collecting donations for ongoing treatment costs.
