Russia Warns of World War III Over Potential NATO Shootdown of Its Jets Following Airspace Breaches

Amid a surge of Russian airspace violations over NATO territories, Russia has warned that if its planes are shot down, it would lead to full-scale war. This threat comes as Estonia and Poland reported multiple breaches by Russian aircraft and drones.

Estonia described the incursion by three MiG-31 jets as a dangerous provocation. Poland intercepted numerous drones, sparking an Article 4 consultation within NATO, signaling increased readiness to respond cohesively.

Donald Trump publicly declared support for shooting down Russian jets violating allied airspace. Russia’s ambassador to France, Alexey Meshkov, retorted that such actions would be considered war.

This precarious sequence of events underscores an escalating conflict where diplomatic efforts clash with military posturing, increasing fears of a larger global confrontation.
