Graham Greene, a gifted actor acclaimed for his role in Dances With Wolves, died at age 73 after battling illness. He left behind a career full of memorable performances and a lasting impact on Indigenous representation in film.

Born in Ontario’s Six Nations Reserve, Greene rose to prominence with his Oscar-nominated performance in Dances With Wolves, a role that remains one of the most iconic portrayals of Native American characters in cinema. He went on to star in major films such as Die Hard with a Vengeance and The Twilight Saga, as well as acclaimed television series.

Outside of his craft, Greene treasured his close relationship with his wife Hilary Blackmore. Together they chose a peaceful life in rural Ontario, surrounded by nature and loved ones. His contributions to film and Indigenous history will be remembered with great admiration.
