Victoria Wright’s life took a different path early on when she was diagnosed with cherubism, a rare genetic disorder causing her jaw to enlarge in an unusual way. The condition became evident at age four when changes in her face first appeared. Medical professionals expected things to improve after she grew older, but her jaw instead kept expanding, leading to vision problems.

Throughout school, Victoria suffered through bullying and the harsh reactions of those who didn’t understand her. Children gave her cruel nicknames, and strangers stared publicly. Despite these challenges, she chose acceptance and refused surgery that only others wanted her to have. Victoria found support through the charity Changing Faces, which helped her realize her worth beyond her appearance.

Today, Victoria is a strong advocate for disability rights and a proud mother. Her story teaches us that beauty comes in many forms and that confidence can shine through even the hardest trials.
