Molly Kochan’s Journey of Courage and Self-Discovery After Cancer

When Molly Kochan was told her cancer was incurable, she made a choice many would find shocking. She divorced her husband and decided to live her final years embracing pleasure and freedom.

Initially diagnosed many years after finding a lump, Molly endured surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, but the cancer spread to her bones, liver, and brain. By 2015, she was given a terminal prognosis.

At age 42, feeling trapped in a difficult marriage, she left and focused on experiencing life fully. Over time, she became intimate with nearly 200 men, treating her sexuality as part of her healing and self-expression.

Molly shared her story broadly in the podcast Dying For Sex and a memoir, offering raw honesty about love, loss, and empowerment.

Her parting blog post “I Have Died” eschewed traditional life lessons, opting instead for a message of real joy and acceptance.
