His EpiPen had expired, likely reducing its ability to save him. Despite medical care, Karanbir passed away after developing post-cardiac arrest syndrome.

Rina faced the heartbreaking decision to end life support, reporting her son’s peaceful smile in his final moments.

Tests showed Karanbir experienced signs of anaphylaxis long before adrenaline was administered—delayed treatment that experts warn against.

The boys responsible said they were unaware of his allergies. The coroner labeled the act “childish and thoughtless” and noted the school’s failure to educate about allergies.

Rina urges education reform and better allergy awareness to prevent future tragedies. She recalls Karan’s plea for help, his maturity evident even in crisis.

Karan’s father Amerjeet expressed immense grief and faith that sharing their story will save others.
