Sleepover Prank Victim in Georgia Recovers From Severe Burns

Twelve-year-old Trey West in Georgia faced a nightmare during a sleepover when a prank went terribly wrong. While Trey slept in a neighbor’s apartment, one of his friends poured boiling water on him, causing serious second-degree burns mainly on his face. The boys were aged between 12 and 15.

His mother, Tiffany, was shocked and rushed Trey to a burn center, where he underwent surgery. Medical professionals warn that burns like Trey’s are painful and require long recovery times, sometimes leaving scars for years.

Trey’s emotional state is fragile; he feels numb about what happened, according to close family members. The boys involved were arrested but released pending court dates.

Despite the trauma, Trey is steadily improving with support from family, friends, and the community, who have sent donations and messages of encouragement. Tiffany expressed her thankfulness for the kindness and shared a video capturing her son’s joyful progress.
