Officer Jason Short from Keene recently rushed to save what he thought was a baby trapped in a hot car. Acting on a call about a child left alone during a scorching day, he arrived swiftly to find a baby-like figure inside the vehicle. Concerned the child was in danger, Jason broke the window to get to the infant.

Upon holding the quiet figure, he quickly realized it wasn’t a real baby but a lifelike doll. The doll’s owner, Carolynne Seiffer, who uses these dolls for healing after the loss of a child, returned to find her doll surrounded by bystanders and a broken window.
Though embarrassed, Jason stood by his decision, prioritizing safety. The police covered the damage repair and recommended that owners store such dolls out of sight while in vehicles.
