After Six Years, Jason Momoa Shaves Beard to Support Eco-Friendly Water Initiative

Jason Momoa has shaved off his famous beard for the first time in six years, sharing the change in a video on Instagram on July 30. The actor revealed the fresh look as part of a campaign to reduce single-use plastic pollution through his brand Mananalu.

Momoa announced a partnership with GetBoomerangWater to bring a closed-loop water bottle system to Hawaii that cleans and reuses aluminum bottles repeatedly, cutting down waste and the environmental footprint.

Despite joking about disliking his new face, Momoa wants to inspire people to focus on sustainable habits for the planet’s future.

His son, Nakoa-Wolf, has landed a role in the highly anticipated Dune 3 film, which Momoa says his son earned on his own. The movie will arrive in theaters in December 2026.
