One doctor caring for Tyquan, Juan Sanchez-Esteban, prayed to Father Salvador Valera Parra, a 19th-century figure recently declared a saint, entrusting the baby’s fate to divine help. Miraculously, Tyquan’s health improved rapidly. He was expected to face many health challenges but instead grew up healthy and happy.

Years later, Pope Leo officially recognized this incredible recovery as his first miracle as pope. Dr. Sanchez-Esteban spoke about the experience with respect for the mystery of life and the faith of those involved, highlighting the importance of hope and compassion in healthcare.

This inspiring story reminds us that even in the darkest moments, faith and perseverance can bring light and healing.
