James Green loved being a dad more than anything. He and his wife Cloe started their family young and kept going, having eight children over the years, including twins with cerebral palsy. James made sure to be involved in the children’s lives, juggling work and parenting with endless energy.
But in December 2015, just three months after their youngest was born, James unexpectedly passed away. He woke up one night unable to move and soon stopped breathing. Despite immediate medical help, he died at home at just 31.
Doctors later found that James suffered from hypertensive heart disease, caused by unnoticed high blood pressure. This condition is often silent until sudden tragedy hits. James hadn’t had regular medical check-ups, so his illness was overlooked.
Now, widowed Cloe is left to raise her large family alone. She shares that although the pain is immense, her children’s smiles and memories of James’ loving care keep her strong.
The community has stepped in, raising money to renovate the family garden so the children can have a safe place to play. Cloe’s determination to provide for her family is inspiring. She honors James by celebrating his love for fatherhood and facing daily challenges with remarkable courage.
