Moving to a new neighborhood can be a daunting experience, especially when you’re trying to start fresh. My son Mike and I had been through a tough time, and we were looking forward to a peaceful life in our new home. However, our neighbor Linda had other plans.
At first, Linda seemed like the perfect neighbor. She welcomed us with a tray of cookies and a warm smile. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that her friendly demeanor was just a facade. Packages started going missing, and Linda always seemed to “find” them. But when I confronted her, she would just giggle and say she thought they were hers.
The final straw came when Linda stole a limited-edition Christmas ornament I had ordered for my mom. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I ordered a glitter bomb kit and set a trap for Linda. The plan was simple: I would wrap the glitter bomb in festive paper, write my name and address on it, and leave it on my porch.
It didn’t take long for Linda to take the bait. She swiped the package and rushed back to her house, eager to open it. But when she did, she was met with a explosion of glitter that covered her from head to toe.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Linda screaming and trying to shake off the glitter. It was a satisfying moment, to say the least. When she stormed over to my house, furious and covered in glitter, I couldn’t help but smile.
“You think this is funny?” she spat, shaking the glitter-covered box at me.
I crossed my arms and said, “Funny? No. Satisfying? Absolutely.” I then told her that if she didn’t want surprises like this, she should stop stealing my packages. I warned her that next time, I would call the police.
Linda was taken aback by my response. She stormed back to her house, and for the rest of the holiday season, she barely left her house. The glitter incident had become the talk of the neighborhood, and soon, other neighbors came forward with similar stories of Linda stealing their packages.
Thanks to my glitter bomb, Linda learned a valuable lesson. And as for me, I haven’t had a single package go missing since. Sometimes, a little sparkle is all it takes to set things right.
