Unfounded Claims: Candace Owens’ Latest Theory on Kirk Assassination

In the world of political commentary, the line between investigation and speculation is often blurred, and Candace Owens’ latest claims about the death of Charlie Kirk serve as a prime example. Two months after Kirk was shot and killed at a university event, with a suspect already in custody, Owens has taken to her platform to unveil a complex new theory that she promises will “change everything.” Her allegations, which involve international intrigue and high-level cover-ups, stand in stark contrast to the official account of the tragedy.

Owens’ theory centers on an unusual piece of “evidence”: the flight paths of two Egyptian military planes. She credits a “pregnant mommy sleuth” with uncovering that these planes allegedly tracked the movements of Kirk’s wife, Erika, on dozens of occasions since 2022, sometimes when Charlie was also present. Owens claims that on the day of the assassination, one of these planes was active, weaving a narrative of foreign surveillance and involvement. She has boldly asserted that this constitutes “irrefutable proof” that Kirk’s own organization, Turning Point USA, is hiding information.

This is not the first time Owens has promoted alternative narratives surrounding Kirk’s death, despite the fact that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson has been charged with the murder. Her persistent speculation has drawn criticism from those who knew Kirk best. His pastor, Rob McCoy, has previously spoken out, expressing a wish that Owens would “be the friend to Charlie that he was to her” and noting that Kirk would never have treated her or her family in such a manner during a time of mourning. The situation highlights the divisive and often painful impact of conspiracy theories, even among ideological allies.
