Since publicly announcing his ALS diagnosis in April 2025, Eric Dane’s health has deteriorated more quickly than expected. Friends say the actor now needs a wheelchair and struggles to communicate verbally.

ALS severely impairs voluntary muscle control, causing progressive loss of mobility. Dane disclosed that only his left arm remains somewhat functional, while the rest of his body weakens.
Determined to make a difference, he recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for increased ALS support. He expresses gratitude for his family’s support and continues to fight with optimism amid daunting challenges.
