The Real Explanation Behind ‘Ozempic Penis’ Claims

The term “Ozempic penis” has become popular online, with some men saying that their penis has grown after taking the drug Ozempic. Additionally, a recent study found that average penis size in the UK has grown by about 0.46 inches recently. But does the drug actually cause growth?

Doctors say no. The size increase men notice is mostly due to losing weight. When men slim down, fat around the pubic area shrinks, exposing more of the penis. This makes it look bigger, though the actual length remains the same.

Family doctor Jen Caudle pointed out that this effect is common because weight loss reduces the fat pad making the penis appear larger. Other experts mention prostate growth and body fat can hide the penis as men age, and losing fat reverses this shortening appearance.

The manufacturer advises patients to only use Ozempic as prescribed and continues to monitor safety closely.
