A recent study observed a potential connection between frequent ramen consumption and mortality risk in men younger than 70. The Japanese study of 6,725 participants classified intake frequency and compared death outcomes over several years, revealing that those eating ramen at least thrice weekly who also drank alcohol and consumed most of the soup faced the highest risks.

Researchers warn that ramen’s high salt levels can exacerbate salt-related illnesses such as stroke and stomach cancer. Recommendations include limiting ramen intake and cautiously consuming the broth.

Though the study does not prove direct causation, it underscores the importance of diet moderation and awareness of potential health hazards related to popular dishes like ramen.
