Family of Missing New Zealand Children Speak Out After Hunter Sighting

In 2021, Tom Phillips and his three kids vanished after a fight with their mother in New Zealand. Now, nearly four years later, a group of teenagers reportedly spotted them trekking through bushland and recorded a video.

Mom Cat expressed gratitude for the help but criticized Tom’s treatment of the children. For the first time, Tom’s mother Julia released a heartfelt letter hoping for the family’s return. His sister Rozzi also shared memories and hopes, believing Tom might have built shelter in the wilderness.

Police believe Tom fled to evade a custody battle and remains in the North Island’s Waikato region. An $80,000 reward is offered. Teen hunters who saw the family noted Tom’s armed, bearded appearance and talked briefly with one masked child.
